Drop in Session for BME Councillor Candidates

Diversity in public life project at Edinburgh & Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC) is hosting a drop in session to increase the representation of Black & Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in community councils (CCs) across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Ahead of the Scottish Council election 2017, this event aims to provide guidance & information to the BME members interested to stand for council election or become an agent on 4th May. Practical support & advice will be given on submitting nomination
The event is free to all BME members lived around Edinburgh & the Lothian, interested to stand for the next council election.
Please note, ELREC has been working on Diversity in Public Life project since last year, aiming to increase participation of the BME community in Public life and in the Democratic Process. The project is funded by the Scottish Government to work with the diverse communities around Edinburgh and the Lothians
