As the Scottish local authority election approach, May this year, diversity in public life believes it is time to re-address the issues of Black Minority Ethnic (BME) under-representation in politics. A cross party debate and Q & A will be hosted to allow the public to address the issue.
The key aims of the event are to increase participation and representation of Black Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in the political process. The event also aims to indentify ways to foster engagement of BME communities within grass root level political institutions. A question time style panel discussion will take place along with a keynote address. Politicians and academics will take part in the panel and will answer your questions
To make this event interactive, we would like to request all participants to submit questions at the online registration. A selected number of questions will be chosen for discussion.
